Getting to the bottom of Life and the Universe ....
18 questions which have puzzled the world
Science speaks to us every day – photographs appear on cameras, antibiotics cure infections, men land on the moon. So, what about things that science cannot yet answer?
This book poses 18 questions, discusses them and then gives an answer based on current knowledge.
Examples of this are: How did Life begin? Are there any other universes? Do aliens exist? Is there such a thing as time travel? Does Prayer work? Is there a Creator?
Even though many are currently unanswerable, that doesn't mean we can't make a "best guess" based on what we know. It also doesn't mean that we have to invoke supernatural explanations. If we don't know the answer to a question it means that we just haven't worked it out yet.
Is there life after death, or are our beliefs based on wishful thinking? It would be nice if, after death, we all passed into some alternative existence where we could be reunited with our family and friends... but where is the evidence?
Readers of this book are encouraged to assess the available evidence and to reach a conclusion based on evidence rather than on wishful thinking.
Read it to learn more about all this, and other topics - including how life began; how long is a piece of string; and do coincidences mean anything...
