Dr Craig Ranson
Sports Physiotherapy Consultant
Dr Craig Ranson completed his studies at Curtin University, Western Australia including a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy and a PhD. He has over 15 years Sports Physiotherapy experience and is co-author of the textbook 'Living and Surface Anatomy for Sports Medicine'. Dr Ranson's recent appointments include UK Athletics Chief Physiotherapist (2009-2010) and National Lead Physiotherapist for the England and Wales Cricket Board (2005-09).
He is now a member of the International Cricket Council Medical Panel and now provides consultant Physiotherapy to a variety of Sporting and Educational Bodies and is a Special Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham.
Dr Ranson has research interests in the areas of lower back injury in fast bowlers, athlete musculo-skeletal profiling and injury surveillance and he has a growing list of scientific publications. He is a 'Gold' accredited member of the UK Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM).
