David Charles

David worked for ADAS from 1965 until 1996, mostly in poultry and livestock consultancy. Overseas assignments were in 25 countries. In the 1970's he was associated with the development of the Gleadthorpe Poultry Research Unit, and in 1977 won the prestigious BPF/BOCM PAULS Poultry Industry Award for contributions to research and consultancy. Since 1996 he has been working freelance. He has also lectured at Nottingham University's Sutton Bonington Campus and has been Chairman of the UK Poultry Research Liaison Group.
