Peter Altman

Peter Altman (PhD DSc FIBiol) trained as a biochemist and spent 20 years in medical research into arthritis and cancer. During this time he was invited for a sabbatical year to undertake research with an electron microscope at Yale University in the USA, and also spent several weeks doing research at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He was on the Editorial Board of a major scientific journal. Dr Altman has organised an international conference and has given talks and lectures around the world.

He has published over 150 papers in the Sciences and in 1984 was awarded a Doctor of Science degree by the University of London in recognition of his work. He now works as a medical publisher and science writer.
