Dr. Satish Kumar Gupta

Dr. Gupta obtained his Ph.D in biochemistry from the All India Institute for Medical Science, New Delhi, India.  He is now staff scientist and Chief of the Gamete Antigen Laboratory, National Institute for Immunology, New Delhi.  He leads an active research programme specialising in reproductive immunology/biology, vaccines and immunodiagnosis.  Dr. Gupta has made valuable contributions in understanding the biological function of reproductive hormones.  He is currently studying medicinal plants for anti-HIV (anti-AIDS) activities.  Dr. Gupta has an extensive portfolio of published work, including over 100 scientific papers and he has edited 6 books.  He has also been elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India.
