A title that has already sold over 4000 copies in its original Spanish Version. A captivating blend of veterinary knowledge and empathy with our equine friends - this book will not fail to enchant and educate us in the world of our equine companions.

Horses have highly developed social structures involving co-operation, hierarchy and communication. By reading this book, readers will learn how this interaction can transcend the physical differences between humans and horses. Humans share with horses many different qualities; challenging for position in society, protecting our young and surviving in many different environments to name but a few.

The author takes this similarity using both her scientific knowledge and compassion for her equine subjects' one step further. The title portrays many anecdotes of these interactions and gives advice, and describes techniques to help readers improve their own equine relationships through understanding these beautiful creatures that we resemble so much.

Available from Nottingham University Press, November 2011 priced at just £25.00.
